MoOD & Indigo 2019: A new approach.

When Easyfairs bought Mood & Indigo last year, it had the same acquisition strategy as with the other fairs it bought before: make it grow to its full potential. With its extensive spread of 200 fairs in all different sectors, target visitor groups and 17 countries, adding the power of this expertise, data and approach will be felt straight away. This September will be the first edition of Mood & Indigo fully organized under the Easyfairs flag.

Easyfairs is a private Belgian company, organizing about 218 tradeshows in 17 countries
which makes it the 17th largest player in the world.

Meet the who’s who of the fabric and interior business right in the heart of Europe. On
September 10, 11 & 12 Tour & Taxis in Brussels will once again be the place where decision makers get in touch.

A concept upgrade. What’s new?

Extended offer

MoOD is an International trade show bringing high-end manufacturers and producers of
upholstery, window coverings and wall coverings aimed at both the residential and contract market.

This year this offer will be extended welcoming exhibitors presenting high level bedbath and table linen. Add to that carpets, rugs and outdoor materials.

A Project Cloud, exclusively dedicated to contract products, will be added to the offer. All the architects and hospitality buyers of fairs like Realty will receive an invitation to visit the show.

Indigo still is THE creative platform to attend as it comes to high quality pattern and surface
designers. The show offers a selection of the best designers who are a part of the Indigo family. Indigo offers a very strong international mix, with more than 20 different nationalities being present. Residential and contract professionals will discover exclusive and high level pattern designs. One of the USP’s is the strong link with MoOD giving Indigo exhibitors the opportunity
to meet high quality manufacturers.

Collaboration with IIDE show

The ‘International Interior Design Exhibition’ debuted in London in 1982 where it attracted professionals during the eighties and the nineties.

Last November it was organized for the first time in Brussels and was an immediate success. We asked them to move their dates to match the dates of Mood & Indigo. This September IIDE will be hosted in the first and second floor of Hôtel de la Poste, just next to the Mood & Indigo venue at Tour & Taxis.

IIDE will showcase fully decorated rooms designed by top designers with fabric houses
supplying the fabrics for these rooms.

For the first time ever, a Mood / Indigo  / IIDE visitor will be able to see the full process from the very beginning of pattern design over the producers at Mood to fully designed rooms in a wonderful setting in a historic building in Brussels. The first and second floor of Hôtel de la Poste will be opened to the public for the first time in 40 years exclusively for Mood/Indigo/IIDE.

Last year, IIDE welcomed more than 5000 visitors during their first edition in Brussels.
Consisting of 50% architects / (interior) designers and 50% high net worth clients.

MoOD+Indigo tickets will grant access to IIDE.

New floor plan:

The floor plan has had a make-over. The most important change is the relocation of the entrance to Shed 3. The idea is to create a logical flow in which the visitors enter the exhibition
at Indigo. The new version of the plan allows Indigo to welcome 15 extra exhibitors. Next in the
flow is MoOD and its inspiration zones and catering points.

Hosted-Buyer program

Each exhibitor will forward 5 top-buyers or people they’d love to see on their booth.

Easyfairs will provide the 200 most asked-for buyers a hotel room, local transfers and more. All this to make sure these exclusive contacts visit the show in the most comfortable way.

Design September: Brussels is organizing 200+ Events in design and we will make sure our visitors can enjoy the programme in the city during their stay.

Think Tank

The MoOD Think Tank is a group of professionals, each of them with many years of expertise in their own field. They meet up on a monthly basis to discuss sector related trends and topics. The outcome of these sessions will be shared online. These insights will certainly be an inspiration for both exhibitors and visitors.

Up till last year MoOD and Indigo shared one website. From now on, each show has its
own dedicated website with all necessary info, blog, download page and more.

Multiple stand formulas for MoOD
‘core’ exhibitors

We are making sure that our core exhibitors can show their products in the most comfortable way. They can choose from different formula’s: The all-in Shell Boutique stand, a compact all-in Village stand or they can choose to build their own stand.

Cutting Edge exhibitors

The Cutting Edge area will host different types of exhibitors:

  • MoOD Tech is all about technology and technical textiles.
  • Processes: new and traditional processes from novel materials to handicrafts.
  • Innovation: pioneering materials for interior application MoOD Yarns.

Launch Pads

Start-up businesses and designers are offered the opportunity to show their products and
services at an entry price booth. These small businesses have been in the industry for five years or less. It is the ideal spot to discover new talent.

Innovation Platform

The Innovation Sample Bank will be back, presenting high tech materials as well as materials used in an innovative way. All of which can find their use in upholstery, window and wall covering. The accent is on textiles but other materials are taken into account as well.

MoOD Innovation Platform is not so much about being the most aesthetic, or about putting the most trendy product on display: it’s about what is most innovative in terms of technique, performance, use of new materials, intelligent materials and so on.

Seminars = Walks & Talks

Enjoy an exclusive club of top speakers and guides. Visitors can take a break from a busy schedule while getting inspired by the latest trends… Speakers to be announced soon.

Awards & more

Awards will be handed out on the second show day. These nominations and award winning
designs & products are an inspiring overview of the “best of the best” of what you can find at MoOD and Indigo. All selected from creations submitted by exhibitors. Unique in its own way because these awards are the world’s only quality label of its kind for interior textiles.
