“Blossom” presents works from textile design departments of Belgian Master students of the KASK (Gent) and La Cambre (Brussels). As geographical and cultural neighbours, both academies have selected 5 projects to be shown at MOOD 010.

With the second edition of MoOD (Meet only Original Designs), which will take place on 14, 15 and 16 September, only little more than four months ahead of us, it is time to present a first preview. MoOD 2010 will demonstrate that the trade fair is not only devoting attention to new products or trends, but also to emerging new markets.

Textiles have reflected the grandeur of a culture since time immemorial. But in recent decades, textiles have seemed to have lost their status. The pace at which our industrialised world has changed has left little room for a proper grasp of this slow craft. The economic empires were primarily focused on efficient production processes and large volumes. The architects no longer understood textiles and, inversely, decorators had little affinity withnull architecture.

in the ‘Blue Drop Bub’, the sanctum sanctorum of MoOD. MoOD wants to help buyers and visitors to find their way to the most exquisite upholstery fabrics, window and wall coverings. That is why we have created the Blue Drop award system. For the second time, an international panel of judges will nominate the strongest creations at MoOD. They are marked with a Blue Drop.

Get an impression of what THE international trade fair for upholstery, window and wall coverings stands for. MoOD brings authenticity, quality and selectivity for both the residential and the contract market.
